About Mark

Mark started his landscaping career working for his fathers landscape company. In his early years it was just a job.  But as he grew older and sat in class at school, he couldn't wait for the bell to ring so he could get outside and go to work.  

After graduating high school, he attended college in Columbus, Ohio at Columbus College of Art and Design. While in Columbus, he worked part time at a local nursery.This gave him a whole new understanding of different kinds of plants and shrubs-how they grow, at what size they mature and the environment each species thrives in.

Alongside his education in art and design, Mark was also educated on all different types of nursery stock while in Columbus.  This would eventually lead to him becoming a Landscape Designer.

About Oaks Landscape & Design

When you combine a Bachelors Of Fine Arts Degree along with a lifetime love of trees, shrubs and the green industry, you end up with a Landscape Designer.

Once Mark graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design, he went on to work 14 years with a very reputable landscape company here in Dayton, Ohio.

He acquired his Ohio Certified Nursery Technician certificate from the ONLA (Ohio Nursery and Landscaping Association) in Landscaping. He then became a certified installer of pavers from the Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute. He continues to learn and educate himself on the best practices in the industry.

With his experience he then decided to start his own company, Oaks Landscape and Design. The green industry has always been his passion and so has starting his own company. Now he can bring all of his years of experience to you to help enhance your outdoor landscape.
